Technology transfer at the University of Banja Luka
Seminar “Technology transfer at the University of Banja Luka” was held on July 10, 2015 at the Faculty of Electrical Enigineering, University of Banja Luka. This seminar was organized for university staff, professors and administrative staff. The first part of the seminar was dedicated to the technology transfer system in general, and the university staff has had an opportunity to find out and learn more about Triple helix concept and the impact of the technology transfer system on economic and educational development. Also, they were informed about the activities of the establishment the Technology Transfer Center, University of Banja Luka, and its role in this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition, the allocation of responsibilities between the Innovation center Banja Luka and University entrepreneurship center Banja Luka was presented. It is indicated that there was a need for improvement of organization (especially legislation) and other preconditions (human and material) for successful technology transfer between the University of Banja Luka and its surroundings.
The second part of the seminar was intended for presentations on Technology incorporation and innovation. The participants participated in discussions about what kind of possible business and legal relations could be settled between researcher, industry, University and Innovation Centre in the process of technology incorporation. Special attention was devoted to the concept and clear regulation of intellectual property protection at the University of Banja Luka, in order to be rightful and stimulating for all participants in the technology transfer.
