Workshop at University of Banja Luka
The two-day workshop for strengthening the capacities of researchers in the areas of knowledge transfer, research and innovation was organized at the University of Banja Luka (UBL) on 22nd and 23rd of April 2015. The participants were welcomed by Msc Biljana Vojvodic, assistant to the Minister of Science and Technology, Prof. Dr Branko DokiÄ‡, dean of the Faculy of Electrical Engineering Banja Luka and Prof. Dr Vesna Mandic, WBCInno project coordinator.
After the welcome speeches, Prof. Dr Vesna Mandic, WBCInno project coordinator, and Prof. Dr Petar Maric, WBCInno project coordinator at the University of Banja Luka, presented WBCInno project in details and achievements in WBC region. Msc Biljana Vojvodic, assistant to the Minister of Science and Technology, presented Transfer of knowledge, research and innovation, support of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Republic of Srpska. Regina Grussenmeyer, from the Hamburg University of Technology, talked about the University-Enterprise Collaboration in Research and Innovation at the Hamburg University of Technology. Denise Galvin, from the University of Alicante, presented the Ways of technology transfer at the University of Alicante. Ines Marinkovic, from the Centre for Social Innovation Vienna, presented the presentation “From knowledge generation to knowledge diffusion at Centre for Social Innovation, Vienna”. Mario Fallast, from the Graz University of Technology, presented the Ways of knowledge and technology transfer at Graz University of Technology.
After every presentation, there was very productive discussion and exchange of information in which all participants actively participated.
Second day of the workshop started with the presentation Support to entrepreneurship at University of Banja Luka by Milena Ljubicic, from the Entrepreneurship centre of the University of Banja Luka. After that, Mr MiÄ‡o StanojeviÄ‡, from the Republic Agency for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises, held presentation Strengthening cooperation between small and medium enterprises with the University of Banja Luka. Jovana PajoviÄ‡, from INTRANEA, held the presentation about the WBCInno platform for innovation management - integration into the information system of the University of Banja Luka. All participants actively participated in discussions after every presentation.
